The article discusses the development and research of a multi-factor authentication (MFA) system for document management systems. Attacks that threaten document management systems are described, and methods for developing an MFA system to prevent these attacks are proposed. A comparative analysis of multifactor authentication with other authentication systems has been carried out, as well as methods for developing multifactor authentication have been investigated. Two popular types of multifactor authentication that can be used in the document management system were compared. To verify the developed MFA system, it is necessary to conduct testing and audit. Conducting research ensures high security for the document management system, compliance with regulatory requirements, and vulnerability prevention.
